Shan Hai Keng  山海經

大荒東經首句曰:東海之外有大壑

( 勃海之東,不知幾億萬里,有大壑焉.)

東海之外,大荒之中,有山名曰大谷,日月所出.

( 帝嚳射官名后羿 2205 B.C.)

The archer, according to the Shan Hai Keng and the poets,
travelled east until he reached the place where the sun was born.
There he found ten suns. He shot down nine of them with his bow
and those nine lie asleep in the "Great Luminous Canyon".
